
The exhibition “Silk Road. Contemporary Decorative and Applied Arts of Türkiye,” bringing together Türkiye’s traditional handicrafts with contemporary interpretations, has opened at the State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow.
The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Moscow, the Moscow Yunus Emre Institute (YEE), and Turkish Airlines (THY). At the opening ceremony, Tanju Bilgiç, Ambassador of Türkiye to Moscow, and Alexander Sedov, Director General of the State Museum of Oriental Art, delivered speeches.
Recep Haki, General Manager of RTİB, Ömür Sürenkök, Vice Chairman, and members of the RTİB Board of Directors also attended the opening ceremony.
The exhibition showcases the architectural and cultural richness of the civilizations that flourished along the historic Silk Road through contemporary works of art. It will remain open to visitors until September 27.
