The Great Offensive, within the scope of our National War of Liberation...
30 Ağustos 2026 / Saat: 22:08
The Great Offensive was planned as part of our National War of Liberation to deliver the final and decisive blow to the occupying forces and expel them from Anatolia. In this context, the offensive began in Afyon on August 26th and culminated in the victory of the Turkish army at the Battle of Dumlupınar on August 30th, personally commanded by Commander-in-Chief Mustafa Kemal Pasha. This victory symbolizes the expulsion of enemy soldiers from Anatolia. To briefly recall the events leading up to this victory, it is necessary to remember the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in the First World War, the Armistice of Mondros on October 30, 1918, and the subsequent attempts by imperialist powers to partition and occupy Anatolian lands.

In contrast, the National War of Liberation, launched under the leadership of Atatürk, represents the knowledge and organizational ability, courage, national consciousness, the collective sacrifice of a nation, the desire for independence and freedom against imperialism, and the vision and leadership ability that ensured the unity and solidarity of the nation.

As members of this great nation, our duty is to understand and uphold the importance of the values of the Republic, to stand in solidarity, and to continue our efforts to advance our nation, especially in education, women's rights, and the economy.

With these feelings and thoughts, we, the Russian-Turkish Business Association (RTBA), celebrate the 104th anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day with all our citizens, and commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all his comrades-in-arms, our heroes, martyrs, and veterans with gratitude and respect.
