Russian Argument i Fact: Turkish brands conquer the Russian market
17 Ocak 2025 / Saat: 23:33
The Russian Argumentı i Faktı (AiF) newspaper emphasized that Turkish companies conquered the market by "occupying" the vacant places in the Russian market.

Citing news in the Turkish media, the Russian newspaper wrote, "Turkey is one of the few countries with which the Russian Federation maintains diplomatic and economic relations. Ankara has not joined the Western embargoes and has not stopped its trade with Russia. On the contrary, Turkish companies have filled the positions vacated by Western companies."

The article also states that Turkish brands have become the largest players in the Russian market. The newspaper emphasized, "On the other hand, Turkish manufacturers are seen to have achieved significant success, especially in the field of home appliances."

Five new foreign brands open stores in Saint Petersburg

In 2024, five new foreign brands, three of which are Chinese (Balabala, Candy, Dreame) and one Turkish (Madame Coco), were opened in St. Petersburg shopping malls. However, this figure is considerably lower than in previous years, when an average of 8-11 brands were opened each year. According to NF Group data, 20 new foreign brands opened stores in Moscow during the same period.

The number of Turkish brands opening in shopping malls affiliated with Crocus Group in Moscow, the capital of Russia, is increasing. Turkish brands are strengthening their activities in the company's Moscow VEGAS shopping and entertainment centers. Company officials also state that this number may increase.

According to the Crocus Group press release, more than 13 stores of major brands were opened in the VEGAS shopping and entertainment center network last year. Crocus Group emphasized that Turkish brands were also opened and said, "SuperStep, IDOL, Gloria Jeans, Demix, Crockid, LC Waikiki, Terranova, Loft, "Snejnaya Koroleva" and others started operating in Vegas Crocus City."
