RTİB President A. Erdem Acay moderated a panel titled "Is the Real Sector Coming Back to the Forefront in the Economy?" at the 18th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum held in Istanbul this year.

The panel speakers were: İzzet Ekmekçibaşı, President of the DEİK/Turkey-Russia Business Council; Melisa Tokgöz Mutlu, Board Member of TİM and President of the Istanbul Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association; Riccardo Fallico, Economist; Board Member of Conoscere Eurasia Association; Orhan İğrek, Chairman of the Board of Directors, İğrek Machine Foundry and Machine Tools; Urs Unkauf, General Manager, Federal Economic Development and Foreign Trade Association; and Mario Pietri, Vice President, Confederazione Nazionale Sviluppo Imprese (Confisi).

The 18th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum is being held this year under the theme "New Energy for New Economic Realities," with the aim of developing cooperation among Eurasian countries in the areas of economy, energy, transportation, digital technology, agriculture, finance, and tourism.

The forum is attended by Ministers Alparslan Bayraktar and Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, as well as numerous local and international businesspeople, bureaucrats, and academics.
